Board of Child Care Month

In the month of August, we make opportunities available for giving financial support to The Board of Child Care. The Board of Child Care serves children and families in need, "enriching lives one family at a time" through community based programs including Strawbridge School, a nonpublic special and regular education school serving preschool through age 21 in a therapeutic environment that specializes in serving youth with autism, as well other learning, health, emotional, and behavioral disabilities.

The Board of Child Care has followed the teachings of John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, who once said: “Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.”

John Wesley promoted social justice in his ministry, serving the poor, the uneducated and the neglected in society. Our vision, in accordance with our United Methodist roots and John Wesley’s teachings, is to be a community of hope: providing an opportunity to heal, and a safe and caring environment for children, youth and families.

You may donate to BCC through the offering plate, marking in the memo Board of Child Care or by giving to the Communion Offering for Sunday August 1.
